Problem
A cinematic book needs a site that carries the world, the author, and a path to buy — without flattening the story into a generic shop template.
Solution
DekuWorks built a dark, art-led React site: hero and gallery from the approved mockup, character/world pages, and commerce hooks that can run Stripe, Shopify, or an external retailer link.
The Legend of Waya is a premium responsive site for the book: cinematic hero art, character and world pages, artwork gallery, author story, newsletter, and a modular checkout path for paperback, hardcover, and special editions.

Technology Stack
Architecture Overview
React + TypeScript + Vite on Tailwind, with Framer Motion and React Three Fiber for atmosphere. Supabase for auth, Postgres, storage, and RLS. Checkout is abstracted so Stripe, Shopify, or an external link can swap without rewriting the UI. Hosted on GitHub Pages at legendofwaya.com.

Current Focus & Lessons
Apex DNS and GoDaddy forwarding cannot share the zone — GitHub Pages only stays healthy when the domain answers on GitHub A records, not DPS forwards.
